Finland has both lessons to learn and reasons to be happy with how international talents settle in the country. Most of the foreign degree students have settled in Finland very or fairly well (86%) and adjusted to life in Finland quickly. On the other hand, a significant share of degree students (47%) and other international talents (39%) have plans to leave Finland.

An exceptionally large number of organizations and public administration entities are involved in a research project with the aim of finding out how to attract more international talent to Finland. The project will involve Finns living abroad, foreigners living in Finland and international digital nomads performing location-independent work.
